Social Responsibility at Stephan Phillips

One of the motivating factors behind the formation of Stephan Phillips is providing books to those who were essentially deprived not only of a basic education under the former apartheid regime, but also access to any books at all. Although 15 years have passed under a new political regime, the economic circumstances of millions of South Africans have not changed materially for the better. Stephan Phillips spent time in the townships outside Cape Town where we donated children’s books to three crèches: Sivulile; Nosamkelo and Naledi. These are children’s books for those who are in real need. We hope that we can widen the programme in the future.
