Paul Gorman's latest book, Reasons to be Cheerful, was released in December 08 with party at Paul Smith's Borough store. It has gone on to gain press internationally for its painstakingly researched portrait of late designer Barney Bubbles.

What's behind the name?

The soldaderas who fought in the Mexican Revolution (1910 - 1921) were known as adelitas, named, it is said, after one particularly brave battlefield heroine who inspired other women to take up arms. The legend survives to this day and the founder of Adelita - Publisher Jenny Ross - takes inspiration from the courage and zeal these women displayed.
